Frequently Asked Questions

How can I schedule a lesson?
Scheduling your lesson is easy! Use our online booking tool to choose a time that fits your schedule. To complete the booking, we’ll require a card on file, but don’t worry—we won’t charge your card until the time of your lesson.
Do you need my payment information to schedule a lesson?
Yes, we require a card on file to secure your booking. However, you won’t be charged until the lesson time. Cancellations or rescheduling are free up to 24 hours before your lesson. Inside the 24-hour window, there’s a $20 late cancellation fee.
What is your refund policy?
We don’t offer refunds, but we understand that schedules can change. You’re welcome to reschedule or cancel a lesson at no charge up to 24 hours in advance. If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the lesson, a late cancellation fee applies.
What can I expect to learn during the first lesson?
Your first lesson is all about getting comfortable on the dance floor. We’ll introduce you to the basics and work on movement that fits your style. Whether you want something simple or more planned, we’ll tailor the experience to your goals.
How many lessons should we take?
The number of lessons depends on your goals, but our instructors are here to guide you. We offer packages based on popular preferences, and you can wait to choose a package until after your first lesson. During a consultation, we’ll recommend a number of lessons that will help meet your specific goals.
Should we practice between lessons?
Practicing between lessons can be very beneficial, even if it’s just a few minutes at home. Our instructors can provide guidance on what to practice and suggest ways to reinforce what you’ve learned during lessons.
Can we talk to a person before booking?
Absolutely! We’re happy to discuss any questions or concerns you have before booking. Feel free to contact us via phone, email, or our website contact form.
How much time do we need to prepare for our first dance?
We recommend starting lessons at least 3-6 months before your wedding. This gives you time to feel comfortable and confident on the dance floor. However, we can also help with last-minute preparations—just reach out to discuss your needs.
Will I need any special equipment or attire?
We recommend comfortable clothing and shoes that you can move in easily. For ballroom dance, smooth-soled shoes are ideal, but any clean, non-grip shoes will work. No special equipment is needed.
Can we bring family members to learn parent or family dances?
Yes! Many couples choose to include family members for parent dances or group dances. We’re happy to accommodate additional participants so everyone feels comfortable and prepared.
Do I need a partner to take lessons?
Not at all! We welcome both solo students and couples. Our instructors are experienced in teaching individuals as well as partnered students.
How are online lessons different?
Online lessons offer the same personalized instruction as in-person lessons, with the convenience of learning from home. You can schedule these lessons as flexibly as in-person sessions. For virtual lessons, we use Google Meet, and recordings are available so you can practice between sessions.
What happens if we have two left feet?
Don’t worry—we specialize in teaching couples with all skill levels. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident, even if you’re starting with no experience at all!
